Knee Pain Caused by Osteoarthritis (10/2/2024)
Osteoarthritis in the knee usually develops over time from wear-and-tear and degeneration. It can be very debilitating as the arthritis progresses and becomes more painful. The cartilage starts to diminish and decreases the protective space between the bones in the joint.

To honor families experiencing baby loss, Newman Regional Health’s Women’s Life Center will host Emporia’s Wave of Light event on Tuesday, October 15th, 2024. This event coincides with Baby Loss Awareness Week, a global initiative acknowledging pregnancy and infant loss.

Lyon County Community Baby Shower

Come learn about how important safe sleep is for your newborn at the Lyon County Community Baby Shower. This community event is FREE for expecting mothers and family.
Annual Teddy Bear Clinic
April 2025 – This event is intended to help educate children on the importance of healthcare, including regular checkups, first aid procedures, immunizations, x-rays, and so much more!
Each child will receive a participant bag.
Diabetes Community Health Fair
The fair is free, no registration or tickets are needed!

Annual event that has a direct impact on community healthcare. Consist of many activities, Golf Tournament, Barbecue, Silent and live auctions, and a gala in August

Becoming a Mom® Free Prenatal Classes
Being pregnant and having a baby is a wonderful experience, yet it can be scary, too! The more you can learn with each pregnancy, the better you will be able to care for yourself and your baby and the healthier you will both be. Held 6 times a year.
Weigh To Grow Breastfeeding clinic
A support group for Moms whether they are breastfeeding or bottle-feeding their babies. Moms have a chance to weigh their babies and receive help with infant feeding. Come meet other new mothers with infants!
- Tuesday: 10 am – 12 pm
- Thursday: 5 – 6:30 pm
Diabetes Support Group Meetings – Each meeting covers a topic concerning how diabetes affects a person and how they can cope with the disease. Held 4 times a year.
Stop the Bleed® – Take the STOP THE BLEED® training course and become empowered to make a life-or-death difference when a bleeding emergency happens. Held twice a year
Stepping On – The aim of the program is to reduce falls, increase confidence and give people the tools to remain active, safe and independent within their community. Held twice a year, and consists of 6 weekly sessions
