Hi, I am Heather Aylward, the Chief Nursing Officer at Newman Regional Health. I am very proud of the nursing team we have and I am extending an invitation for you to join them. As the most clinically capable Critical Access Hospital in Kansas and one of the Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals in the nation, we offer a wide range of opportunities for nursing. I watch our nursing staff contribute to patient care daily and their professional, caring attitude and the family-centric nature of our community make us a unique place to work.
Our PRN Nursing Program was specifically implemented to help nurses continue to practice their craft and care for patients while managing a full-life schedule.
These Pro re nata (PRN) positions allow you to control your schedule, discover new ways of working while doing what you love, care for your family, or continue your education.
If you are a student nurse or a current nurse pursuing an advanced practice degree, you may find that this program helps you earn while you learn. Please check out our other Healthcare Financial Aid Opportunities
Aylward is a graduate of Emporia State University and the University of Kansas. She holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in nursing. Her work experience includes 16 years at Newman Regional Health, where she started as an obstetrics registered nurse and held the Director of Women’s Life Center leadership role since 2011. She has also previously been a clinical instructor at Emporia State University.
“I am confident that the future of nursing is bright. I am excited to lead our extraordinary nursing team as we continue to innovate, inspire, and touch the lives of our patients, their families, and loved ones in our communities.”
